  • If I am tanning for a special occasion such as a wedding or vacation-when is the best time to get my spray tan?
The best time to get a spray tan for a special occasion is 2-3 days before. If you are going on vacation we suggest getting a spray tan 1-2 days before you leave so it lasts throughout your vacation. For example, if your wedding is on a Saturday, we recommend making your appointment for Thursday. (Don't forget we specialize in bridal parties, ask about party discounts.)
  • If I am pregnant, can I still receive an airbrush tan?
Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is FDA approved and considered safe as it only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. There is no evidence that DHA is harmful. However, we do recommend that pregnant women always consult with their physician first.
  • Does it make a mess (mobile)?
Not at all. We provide a pop-up tent for mobile appointments that catches any extra spray. Your home will be left untouched.
  • How long will my appointment take?
    Appointments take about 20 minutes.
  • What is your cancellation policy or can I reschedule an appointment?
If you need to cancel please contact us as soon as possible. You may cancel by calling, texting, emailing or adjusting your appointment online. Clients will be charged $20.00 for cancellations less than 48 hours prior to appointment time. Clients will be charged for entire appointment for cancellations less than 4 hours prior to appointment time.
  • How should I prepare for my airbrush tan?
You should exfoliate with our exfoliation mitt 4-24 hours prior to your appointment (loofahs and sugar scrubs are not strong enough exfoliation methods). Shaving, waxing, and nail appointments must be completed prior to your appointment. Remember, do NOT put anything on your skin prior to your appointment. No deodorant, moisturizers, perfume/cologne or make-up. For more detailed prep instructions, please visit our 'Tan Care' page.
  • How long does the tan last? How can I make it last longer?
The tan can last up to 3 weeks but normally ranges from 8-14 days. It all depends on your skin type, how well you treat your spray tan after and how well you prepared, and your daily activities. Water/sweat and friction all contribute to eventual tan fading. Our tan solutions are formulated specifically to be used with our spray safe Body Butter and spray safe Body Wash. Body Butter should be applied daily for tan longevity. Our Tan Extender will make your color last significantly longer. While showering, avoid loofahs, washcloths, and rubbing dry with your towel. Keep showers short. Avoid exfoliating acids and spray sunscreen. For a detailed timeline of exact steps to keep your tan glowing, please visit our ' ' page.
  • How long do I have to wait to shower?
Our overnight formulas must process for at least 10 hours and no more than 16 hours--rinse at any time between this duration. Rapid formulas must process for a specific amount of time that ranges between 2-6 hours. Your artist will prescribe you a specific shower time for rapid formulas during your appointment, based on your preferred darkness level. For your first shower, rinse with lukewarm water and do NOT use soap. Pat dry with a towel instead of rubbing. Color showing in water during first rinse is normal.
  • Is it okay to sleep in my spray tan?
Yes. Many clients prefer to sleep in their tan. Be sure to wear long sleeves to bed on the first night after your appointment to avoid skin-to-skin color transfer or transfer onto sheets (although if some color does show up on sheets the first night, it comes right out in the wash. Even on white sheets!). Failing to wear long sleeves on first night can result in undesirable color on palms. Rest assured that after the first night and first rinse, there is no more risk of color transfer.
  • What do I wear?
This is completely up to you. You can go completely naked or wear old undergarments or an old bathing suit. We also provide disposable thongs if preferred. The solution does not stain clothes and comes out once laundered. Make sure to remove all jewelry prior to your spray tan and wear dark, loose fitting clothing immediately after. And skip the bra for the night!
